School of Distinguished Instruction in Growth is awarded to Holy Redeemer School by the Archdiocese of Philadelphia for school year for the 3rd straight year.
Mr. Joshua Schuster has joined the faculty at Holy Redeemer School. He will be teaching 2nd grade temporarily until other new teachers arrive after the school opening.
The REACH mentors had their Thank You / Planning Meeting on August 13th at the Raku Japanese and Sushi Buffet in Cherry Hill, NJ. They are looking forward to working with the new 8th graders to help them apply to high schools and transitioning to high school environments.
The day was successful in many ways in addition to the painting of the classrooms, lunchroom and some of the Angelus House. I find it amazing that in less than 4 hours with 25 volunteers this was accomplished - beyond our expectation. Al Lee made a connection with a young man who went to HR for a few years before moving and has volunteered to help out with the REACH Program. It was also a good way to promote and make HR known to more people. The PECO volunteers could not have been nicer and so willing to help. Several commented they would help again. Again, Al, Phil Eng and relief pitcher George Luis were so instrumental in ensuring such a great event. Their generosity of time and effort beforehand and on the day are very much appreciated and certainly would not have happened without them. Click for photo of all the hard working volunteers.
Sunday, July 23rd, saw several from Holy Redeemer participate in this 65 mile bike ride from the Ben Franklin Bridge to Atlantic City to raise funds for families of our region’s first responders who serve as police, fire fighters, and EMT. Click to see photos.
